This is a TRAVELBLOG, filled with travel stories, travelogues and some of my photos and essays on the nature of travel. The stories & essays are your classic random musings and/or nostalgic missives… In the travelogues I try to create a loose guide, including links and contact information where possible and sometimes I even work up some potential itineraries. And maybe at some point I’ll answer some questions that you send in, who knows?
What this is NOT is a site through which you can book travel or rely on as gospel. I work all day in travel, and obviously it is my after-hours passion as well. But, I’m not here to sell you anything and I ardently will refuse all inquiries as the kind of travel I do is specialized– I’m not a ‘regular’ travel agent currently and I don’t book air, hotels or cars in the normal way.
Some of the travels I write about are occupational, but just as many are my extra-curricular global adventures beginning w/a drama exchange to the UK at 12, an intense 1 year service in the Peace Corps in Central Africa and an Epic (if cliched) ‘finding yourself” Wander through India, Asia & the UK that lasted for 2 years. And I will cover in a hopefully timely fashion more recent local, personal and globals forays, as a (slightly) more grown up and admittedly pickier traveler…
So what I am hoping this will prove to be is mostly a little fun in the writing realm, an outlet for some perspectives on exporations afar and within– and perhaps some venting???
